Your organization must create a budget for implementing ICD-10. The following areas should be considered for their budget implications: any system updates or upgrades, design of forms, updating resource books, training for IDT and leadership, recoding of all records and dual coding, additional monitoring of coding and billing, external consultation for transition planning and technical assistance with implementation.
