Benchmarking Productivity for Home Health

The down turn in the economy and future Medicare reimbursement cuts will affect all Home Health Agencies.  Agencies need to be proactive and evaluate their office processes and pay structures to enhance productivity wherever they can.  Converting to a pay-per-unit model can help, but it is not without its pitfalls.  Agencies that convert to a pay-per-unit model to pay their clinical staff need to follow a structured process to avoid and/or minimize decreases in quality, outcomes and satisfaction.
